Acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning

Symptoms of organophosphorus pesticide poisoning: Organophosphorus pesticides are more likely to cause serious poisoning accidents than other pesticides. The cause of poisoning is the inhibition of cholinesterase in the body, which affects the transmission of nerve impulses in the body. Such compounds may remain in the gut or body fat, which is slowly absorbed or released. So the onset of poisoning symptoms may be delayed, or symptoms may be repeated during treatment.

Symptoms of organophosphorus pesticide poisoning generally appear between 1/2 to 24 hours after exposure. The first symptoms of poisoning are feeling unwell, nausea, headache, weakness and fatigue. Subsequently develop drool (salivation is overmuch), and a large number of sweating, vomiting, abdominal clonic, diarrhea pupil narrowing, blurred vision, muscle convulsions, spontaneous contractions, hand tremors, breathing with foam, the patient may have spasms and enter a coma. In severe cases, death may result; Light recovery within a month, generally without sequelae, sometimes may have secondary hypoxia.

Symptoms of carbamate pesticide poisoning: The poisoning causes of carbamate pesticides are the same as organophosphorus pesticides, which also inhibit cholinesterase in human body, thus affecting the transmission of nerve impulse in human body. But carbamate pesticide poisoning occurs quickly and recovers much more quickly. When such pesticides are applied without proper precautions, they become ill and stop working after a while. With the immediate cessation of contact, the patient will begin to feel better, except if the pesticide continues to be absorbed through contaminated clothing or skin.

Specific symptoms of carbamate pesticide poisoning begin after 3 hours of continuous work. The initial symptoms are discomfort and may include vomiting, nausea, headache and dizziness, fatigue and chest tightness. After the patient begins to sweat a great deal and flow saliva (drooling), vision is blurred, muscle spontaneity contractile, convulsion, tachycardia or bradycardia, a few people may appear a spasm and enter coma. It generally recovers fully within 24 hours (except for extremely high dose cases) without sequelae or residual disabilities.

Symptoms of organochlorine pesticide poisoning: Organochlorine pesticide poisoning is also rare, as most of the more obvious organochlorine pesticides have been banned from sale for years. It may occur as a result of significant contamination and may be of the nature of occupational exposure, accidents, or deliberate ingestion. Organochlorine pesticides are toxic because they stimulate the central nervous system.

Organochlorine pesticide poisoning generally occurs a few hours after exposure to the agent, the first symptoms are headache and dizziness, anxiety, worry, fear, and may be emotional. Later there may be vomiting, weakness in the limbs, tremors in the hands, epileptiform seizures, loss of orientation in time and space, and subsequent seizures. Generally within 1 ~ 3 days of death or recovery, recovery without sequelae or permanent disability.

Mildew symptoms in pyrethroids: Pyrethroids have been widely used in agriculture, public health and household insecticides since the late 1970s. They can be absorbed in a variety of ways, making them highly toxic if injected, and the compounds are quickly metabolized as they are absorbed. Therefore, only in the spray when not pay attention to prevention, or a long time to wear impregnated clothes, so that the body has a considerable amount of contact, poisoning occurred. The symptoms of animal poisoning are nonspecific. Tremors or chore-like movements vary with the type of pesticide being poisoned.

Pyrethroids can cause sensory abnormalities on the skin at contact sites, especially on the forearm, face and neck. In general, within a few hours after the first contact with the agent, tingling occurs in the skin at the site of contact, most notably around the mouth and nose. The irritation is persistent and uncomfortable, but not very painful. There is no erythema or irritation in the tingling area. This local effect is caused by the prolonged refractory period of cutaneous nerves in the affected area. The effect was caused by deltamethrin, which was the most serious pesticide. This local symptom resolves spontaneously within 24 hours after discontinuation (or thorough washing) of the agent, with no sequelae.Symptoms of rodenticide poisoning: Rodenticide poisoning is usually accidental in children or ingested by adults intentionally or unintentionally, often orally, and requires gastric lavage if ingested within a few hours. The symptoms of poisoning caused by different types of rodenticides vary greatly.
